| Dear Collegues: The genus Calodema consists of a number of large, beautiful species known from the Australasian region (Australia and New Guinea). In spite of their marvellous appearance, the biology is still essentially unknown. This is also the fact concerning their systematics and geographic distribution. In connection with description of a new species, recently received from
Irian Jaya, my intention is to undertake a review of the genus Calodema.
For that reason I need all information available. I would very much appreciate
your co-operation with information regarding the following: Of great interest is to gain information concerning the geographic distribution
of all species; especially all observations of Calodema wallacei
in Australia and Calodema ribbei ssp ribbei in Indonesia
(Irian Jaya). Please note that in the planned publication the collecting places will be indicated on maps only down to territories, provinces and islands. The information sources will not be published without permittance. Many thanks to Dr. Chuck Bellamy who has given me this opportunity for communication. My sincere thanks in advance.
